Why are my pics from computer burnt onto a cd very small on my tv screen? - 21 tv dvd collinwood turned on its ear!!!!

i JPEG files burned onto a CD and insert the CD into the DVD player connected to my TV. The photographs were originally with the 7-megapixel camera on a set of 5 "fine", the best quality is made. They look great on my computer, but does not fill the screen of 21 inches. Ideas?
